Sakura Language Awareness Program (SLAP) at Bright Scholars Sr. Sec. School, Sonipat
As part of Japan Month celebrations, Experience Japan, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan, hosted a Sakura Language Awareness Program (SLAP) at Bright Scholars Sr. Sec. School, Sonipat. We motivated 150 students from grades 11 and 12 to explore foreign languages, highlighting Japanese investments in India and the strong India-Japan relationship. The session was led by our President, Mr. Jitender Mehta.

Onigiri-Making Workshop with Kuuraku: A Taste of Japanese Culture in Sonipat
Experience Japan, in collaboration with Kuuraku, hosted an Onigiri-making workshop on 3rd August 2025 at our Sonipat premises. Students from various cities explored Japanese culture, language, and cuisine through hands-on learning. Led by Chef Ms. Karin and her team, participants crafted and tasted traditional Onigiri. Special thanks to Mr. Hirohama, Director of Kuuraku, for making this event possible.

Report: G.D. Goenka International School, Bhimtal, Celebrates Japan Day with Experience Japan
G.D. Goenka International School, Bheemtal, hosted "Japan Day" on July 19, 2025, in partnership with Experience Japan. Students enjoyed Kimono wearing, Origami, and learned about India-Japan ties. Sushi Making Workshop in Sonipat
Experience Japan and Takumi - The Asian Kitchen hosted a successful Sushi Making Workshop on June 22, 2025, at Alpenglow School, Sonipat. 25 participants learned to make Futomaki and Uramaki from a Takumi chef, after an intro to Japanese food by Mr. Jitender Mehta. Attendees enjoyed making and tasting their own sushi! A huge success promoting Japanese culture.
