Experience Japan, successfully conducted the Sakura Language Awareness Program (SLAP) at GVM Girls College in Sonipat on September 4, 2025. This initiative, part of the wider "Japan Month" celebration with the Embassy of Japan, aimed to educate and inspire students about the value of learning a foreign language, specifically Japanese. The program's core focus was to highlight the burgeoning economic and cultural ties between India and Japan and demonstrate the professional opportunities that arise from Japanese language proficiency.
2. Program Objectives
The SLAP program was designed to achieve the following key objectives:
Promote Foreign Language Learning: To highlight the personal and professional benefits of learning an additional language.
Strengthen India-Japan Relations: To showcase the growing relationship between the two nations, emphasizing cultural diplomacy and economic partnerships.
Raise Awareness of Japanese Investments in India: To inform students about the significant presence of Japanese companies and projects in the Indian market.
Motivate Students: To encourage young minds to consider Japanese as a valuable language for their future academic and career paths.

The interactive session was led by Mr. Jitender Mehta, President of Experience Japan. He engaged the students with a dynamic presentation covering a range of topics, including:
