Experience Japan proudly announces the phenomenal success of the 3rd Exhibition of the 11th Edition of its flagship national art competition, Japan On Canvas 2025. The prestigious exhibition was successfully hosted at the World University of Design (WUD), Sonipat, from November 14 to November 20, 2025, attracting educators, artists, and students eager to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Japanese Culture and Japanese Art. The event served as a vibrant testament to the creative synergy between India's youthful talent and the timeless elegance of Japan.

This prestigious cultural showcase was hosted at the esteemed Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) - Pilani, Rajasthan, commencing on 8 November 2025, as a key highlight of their annual cultural festival, 'OASIS 2025.'

Held on November 9th, 2025, this cultural activity became a vibrant hub of creativity, catering to enthusiastic visitors and festival attendees.

The exhibition was formally inaugurated on November 1, 2025, by our Chief Guests, Maj. Gen. Sh. Pramod Kumar Saighal and Mr. Koji Sato (Director General - Japan Foundation, New Delhi). Their presence set an inspiring tone, highlighting the importance of cultural diplomacy through youth engagement. The ceremony was also distinguished by the attendance of guests including Mrs. Saighal, Mr. Rajesh Sharma (Artist and JOC 2025 Jury), Mr. Prince Sharma (Canada Embassy), and Mr. Rakesh Sharma (CBSE Subject Expert- Mathematics).

The 11th edition, Japan On Canvas 2025, was held from 1st July to 30th August 2025, as part of the ‘Japan Month’ celebration by the Embassy of Japan. This year, the competition was open to students from Grade 4 to Grade 10. We are delighted to share that 4876 entries were received from 206 schools across India. After a rigorous evaluation process, 225 artworks were shortlisted for awards.

The informative session was held on the college premises as part of Experience Japan’s ongoing initiatives to promote cross-cultural understanding and highlight the professional value of multilingualism.

Experience Japan conducted a highly successful and interactive session with the students of GVM Girls College on October 1, 2025. The session, led by Mr. Jitender Mehta, President of Experience Japan, focused on introducing the various Japanese language and cultural courses offered by the organization and, more critically, on motivating students to recognize the immense value and growing career prospects associated with learning the Japanese language. The event was received with great enthusiasm by the students, demonstrating a strong interest in global career pathways.

Experience Japan successfully organized an educational and cultural factory excursion for the students of GVM Girls College Sonipat to the Yakult Danone Pvt. Ltd. manufacturing facility on September 30, 2025.

This initiative is designed to promote awareness about the Foreign Languages and Japanese language and its growing relevance in India’s educational and professional landscape.

On September 20, 2025, Experience Japan, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan as part of its ongoing Japan Month Celebration, conducted the Sakura Language Awareness Program (SLAP) at Hindu Vidyapeeth in Sonipat. The session was led by Mr. Jitender Mehta, President of Experience Japan, and was specifically designed for the school's teaching staff. The program highlighted the significant personal and professional benefits of learning a foreign language, with a particular emphasis on the Japanese language, given the increasing economic partnership between Japan and India.

Sakura Language Awareness Program (SLAP) session was conducted by Experience Japan at Doon Public School, Gohana on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. On August 30, 2025, Experience Japan had the privilege of organizing a talk at the Gateway Institute of Engineering & Technology (GIET), Sonipat. The session, titled "Importance of Learning a Foreign Language," was delivered by Dr. Janashruti Chandra, a distinguished Associate Professor from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. The event was a success, with a large number of students in attendance who showed keen interest in the topic. The talk aimed to highlight the academic, professional, and personal advantages of acquiring foreign language skills in an increasingly globalized world.

Experience Japan was delighted to host a special Onigiri making workshop on Sunday, August 3, 2025, in association with the renowned Japanese restaurant, Kuuraku. The event, held at our premises in Sonipat, brought together students from various cities for an immersive and delicious dive into Japanese culture.

G.D. Goenka International School, Bhimtal (Uttarakhand), in collaboration with Experience Japan, proudly hosted "Japan Day" on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at its vibrant campus.
