As part of the ongoing Japan Month celebrations in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan, Experience Japan proudly conducted the Sakura Language Awareness Program (SLAP) at Little Angels School, Sonipat on September 30, 2025. This initiative is designed to promote awareness about the Foreign Languages and Japanese language and its growing relevance in India’s educational and professional landscape.

The session was exclusively organized for students of Grade 11 and 12, and we were thrilled to witness an enthusiastic turnout of over 200 students. Their active participation and curiosity reflected a strong interest in global learning and future-ready skills.

The session was led by Mr. Jitender Mehta, President – Experience Japan, who delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on the personal and professional benefits of learning a foreign language, with a special focus on Japanese. He emphasized how language learning enhances cognitive abilities, cultural understanding, and global communication skills.

On the professional front, Mr. Mehta highlighted the expanding career opportunities available to those proficient in foreign languages—especially Japanese—given the increasing presence of Japanese companies and investments in India. Career paths discussed included roles in translation and interpretation, international business, tourism, diplomacy, education, and technology, among others.

We extend our sincere appreciation to:

  • Ms. Asha Goel, Principal – Little Angels School,

  • Mr. Rakesh Verma,

  • Ms. Rashmi Dahiya,

for their gracious hospitality and for championing this forward-thinking initiative. Their commitment to equipping students with global competencies and future-oriented skills is truly commendable and aligns seamlessly with the vision of Experience Japan.

As we continue our journey of cultural exchange and language awareness, we remain hopeful and excited about the bright future that awaits the students of Little Angels School. Their enthusiasm and openness to new ideas are a testament to the transformative power of education. We look forward to seeing these young minds explore new horizons and become global citizens of tomorrow.
