This initiative was part of the Japan Month Celebration by Embassy of Japan. The session, specifically designed for the school's faculty, was attended by approximately 45 teachers.

Objective of the Program

The primary objective of SLAP is to raise awareness among educators about the importance of foreign language learning, with a specific focus on Japanese. By engaging teachers directly, the program seeks to empower them to guide their students toward considering language learning not only as an academic pursuit but also as a viable career path and a means of personal and professional growth.

Session Overview

The program was led by Mr. Jitender Mehta, President of Experience Japan, who delivered an engaging and informative presentation.

Mr. Mehta emphasized the strategic advantages of learning Japanese, especially in the context of growing Japanese investments and the expanding presence of Japanese companies in India. He highlighted how proficiency in Japanese can open doors to global career opportunities, enhance cross-cultural communication, and contribute to India’s international workforce readiness.

Expected Outcomes

  • Awareness among teachers about the relevance of Japanese language education in today’s globalized economy.

  • Encouragement for educators to introduce language learning as a career-oriented option to their students.
