On September 20, 2025, Experience Japan, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan as part of its ongoing Japan Month Celebration, conducted the Sakura Language Awareness Program (SLAP) at Hindu Vidyapeeth in Sonipat. The session was led by Mr. Jitender Mehta, President of Experience Japan, and was specifically designed for the school's teaching staff. The program highlighted the significant personal and professional benefits of learning a foreign language, with a particular emphasis on the Japanese language, given the increasing economic partnership between Japan and India.


Session Details

The SLAP session was designed to educate the teaching community on the value of foreign language acquisition. Mr. Jitender Mehta delivered a comprehensive presentation that outlined the cognitive advantages of multilingualism, such as improved memory and problem-solving skills, and the cultural enrichment it provides.


A key focus of the session was the strategic importance of learning Japanese.
