Experience Japan is delighted to present this detailed report on the highly successful Origami Workshop conducted for the enthusiastic students of Delhi Public School International, Saket, New Delhi. Held on Thursday, 3rd April 2025, this interactive session aimed to introduce the fascinating art of Origami to young minds, showcasing its practical applications and fostering creativity and precision. The workshop was a vibrant and engaging experience, leaving a lasting impression on both the students and the Experience Japan team.


Workshop Details:

The workshop, meticulously planned and executed by the experienced team from Experience Japan – Ms. Ruchie Bhalla and Ms. Priyanka – provided a comprehensive introduction to the art of paper folding. The session was thoughtfully structured to cater to the students' age group, ensuring both enjoyment and effective learning.

The curriculum encompassed the creation of several useful and engaging Origami objects, demonstrating the versatility of this ancient art form:

  • Boxes: Students learned to create functional paper boxes, highlighting the practical applications of Origami in organization and crafting.

  • Spinner: This fun and interactive model captivated the students, showcasing the dynamic possibilities within Origami.

  • Making Figures: The session also included the creation of traditional Origami figures, allowing students to explore their artistic expression and develop fine motor skills.

The Experience Japan team employed a hands-on approach, guiding the students through each step with clear instructions and demonstrations. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 150 students spanning Grades 6 to 8.
