Japan On Canvas 2022 - Award Ceremony

Experience Japan successfully conducted the Inauguration of 2nd Exhibition and Award Ceremony of Japan On Canvas 2022 - National Level Painting Exhibition on 17 January 2023 (Tuesday) at World University of Design.


We invited all 200 award winners to attend this Award Ceremony, with their teacher In-charges and parents and we are glad to share that more than 150 people attended the ceremony from all across India.


This event was attended by the students or other representatives of following schools:

  10. Rishikul World Academy Sonipat

  11. Ryan International School Greater Noida

  12. Modern School ECNCR - Sonipat

  14. Yaduvanshi Shiksha Niketan, Hansi


This award Ceremony was chaired by our Chief Guest Dr. Neena Singh Zutshi (Dean Academics - WUD), Guest of Honor : Mr. Rakesh Sharma (Subject Expert - C.B.S.E.), Sai Rattan Rajesh Ji (Artist), Dr. Ranjan Kumar (Musician, Disciple of Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt Ji) and Dr. Parul Vats (Dear Performing Arts - WUD)


All the guests and attendees reported at the venue between 3 PM to 3:30 PM.


Our honorable guests inaugurated the 2nd Exhibition of Japan on Canvas 2022 at WUD with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Lamp Lightening.




Mr. Rajesh Sharma (Artist and JURY - JOC 2022) explained about all the artworks.


Some of the students whose paintings are in the gallery display, were also present and they explained about their paintings and learning under Japan On Canvas 2022.




The Award Ceremony of JOC 2022 began with a musical performance by Dr. Ranjan Kumar and a live painting performance by Sai Rattan Rajesh Ji.





After the performances, Dr. Neena and other guests shared their views and opinions on the event and the exhibition. They appreciated the students’ efforts and wished them the best for the future.


Mr. Mehta Welcomed the guests and shared information about the JOC 2022, followed by the Award Ceremony.


All the 200 award winners were awarded with certificates, Medals and Trophies, handed over by our honorable guests.




Ms. Fauzia Waheed from Jagran Public School - Noida, won the BEST ARTIST AWARD (Among Teachers’ Category) and was awarded with a cash prize of 5000 INR.




We are also glad to announce the following schools are chosen for STAR SCHOOL AWARD - JOC 2022 for their outstanding contribution in the success of the event.

We have sent all the certificates and awards to respected schools, who could not attend the ceremony.


We are grateful to all the participating Schools, Management, Principals and Teacher In-charges for their contribution to JOC 2022 and appreciate their initiative to offer such learning opportunities to their students.


We are also thankful to Japan Foundation - New Delhi for their continuous support to Experience Japan and lending us the gallery for exhibition.


We extend our heartfelt gratitude to World University of Design, for their support and cooperation to JOC 2022, via lending us the space for Award Ceremony, Exhibition Gallery and fulfilling other basic needs to conduct this event successfully.


We are going to announce Japan on Canvas 2023, soon.
